What TEEN knows about you.

Who runs this site

TEEN is a high-school student research project run by Anushka. It is educational and is not a medical service. Questions or deletion requests: hello@emotionalteen.com.

What is collected

• Stress checks. If you are not signed in, your check is stored only in your own browser and never leaves your device. If you are signed in, it is saved to your account so you can see your trend over time.
• Account details. Your email address, an encrypted password, a display name and, if you upload one, a profile picture.
• Reviews and progress posts. Anything you choose to post publicly, shown with your display name.
• Basic usage data. Pages visited, rough location by country, browser type and errors, so the site can be kept working. This uses a cookie or similar identifier set when you load the site.

What is never collected

No advertising trackers, no data selling, no sharing with third parties for marketing, and no health records. Stress checks are self-reported feelings, not a diagnosis.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets a small identifier so pages load correctly and so anonymous visit counts can be measured. Signing in also stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. You can clear both at any time from your browser settings; clearing them signs you out and removes any guest stress checks stored on your device.

Where the data is kept

Accounts, saved checks and posts are stored with the site's hosting and database provider, protected so that only you can read your own checks. Data is kept for as long as your account exists.

Deleting your data

You can delete any review or progress post yourself. To delete your account and every saved check with it, get in touch and it will be removed. Guest checks disappear as soon as you clear your browser storage.

Young people

TEEN is written for high-school students. Accounts are not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, please use the site without an account, or ask a parent or guardian first.
