Where the money goes
Hariom Helps Foundation
EmotionalTeen is a student project. It doesn't run on ads and it isn't a business. The small amount of money that moves through this site — message packs and gifts — goes to Hariom Helps Foundation.
What EmotionalTeen keeps
Nothing. Every payment made on this site is passed on to Hariom Helps Foundation, apart from the fee the card processor takes before the money ever arrives (a small percentage plus a few cents per payment — that fee is charged by the payment company, not by us).
No one is paid a salary out of these payments. The tools, guided calm-downs, Ask TEEN and every article stay free whether or not anyone ever pays anything.
Why there is a charge at all
Talking to TEEN costs real money each time — the AI behind it is billed per message. Free messages cover the moments that matter most; the $5 pack of 25 messages covers heavy use and turns it into a donation at the same time.
If you'd rather just give, you can do that without buying anything — any amount, no account needed.
