Bullying and being picked on
If someone keeps targeting you, that is not something you have to handle alone or “toughen up” about.
Why it can feel this way
Repeated targeting keeps your body on alert all day, which drains focus, sleep and confidence. That is a normal response to an unfair situation.
Try this now · 2 min
Write down what happened today: date, time, place, who was there, what was said or done. Documentation makes it far easier for an adult to act.
How to say it
“This has happened more than once and I need help with it. Here is what I wrote down.”
When to get more help
Tell a trusted adult or qualified professional when this keeps coming back, changes sleep or school, or feels too heavy to manage alone.
Step by step
- 1Keep a simple log: date, time, location, what happened, who saw it.
- 2Keep screenshots and messages. Do not edit them.
- 3Tell one adult who can act—a counselor, teacher, coach or parent. If nothing changes, tell a second one.
- 4Stay near people and adults in the places it usually happens.
- 5If you are threatened, hurt, or afraid for your safety, treat it as an emergency: tell an adult right away, or call 911 in the US.
